Liberty Fund is a private, educational foundation established to encourage the study of topics concerning individual liberties. Among its many activities, the foundation holds conferences worldwide, publishes books, video and audio tapes, and sponsors several websites, including this online library which hosts electronic versions of classic and historical books about individual liberty in a variety of formats (pdf, html, text-based e-books). There are thousands of books in the Library, available in e-book pdf, e-pub and kindle/Mobi format, while essay and articles are often provided in all three of the above mentioned formats. The second section of this website, called The Forum, is devoted to general discussion and contains articles, essays, biographies, bibliographies, and other educational material. Along with a simple search (by author or title), an advanced option enables full-text search of the entire library collection, while a separate search engine covers The Forum section. Beside the search facilities, the content material can be easily browsed through several subjects. Also available are other useful tools: a full author list, a “how-to” guide, a RSS news feed, and other cross-category classification. Based on Joomla!, a free software platform, the website features a professional outline and a great level of usability.
