Wiley Online Library – with its more than 2,000 journals and 12,000 online books – is the UK leading society publishers. Its online service offers to any researchers access to its scientific journals’ online version and to their total amount of over one million articles. The Wiley Online Library service covers all academic disciplines and sciences, included Political and Human sciences. Tables of contents, free samples, metadata and abstracts are supplied for free to all users, while full-texts can be accessed only by individual or insitutional subscribers or purchased by registered users. Some open access journals are available entirely free of charge. Retrieved material can be downloaded both in html and pdf format. Users can also access – after a free online registration – to a variety of customized features such as CrossRef Search, which enables full-text interpublisher searching of scholarly research content. This special feature is powered by Google through a reciprocal arrangement with 45 publishers and societies. Approximately 6.5 million items are currently indexed. Articles, authors and topics can be easily located in the Wiley Online Library journals’ database thanks to an effective multiple search feature. Re-launched with a new design the website now provides easier navigation, faster loading times, and improved access to customized tools.
